COST ACCOUNTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Responsible for the processing, reviewing, tracking and general ledger posting of construction draws for multiple projects
2. Maintaining payments draw files and invoice files.
3. Communicate with project managers, vendors, and external parties to manage draw requests/requirements
4. Communicate with external clients and lenders to manage funding and draw requests, provide timely responses to questions and inquiries.
5. Calculate and invoice general contracting fees and allocate payroll to projects
6. Assist in the development/enhancement of project reporting
7. Assist with Construction project analysis reporting
8. Assist with special projects as requested
9. Process accounts receivable and understand the construction billing and collections process.
10. Job cost tracking, analysis and reporting.
11. Enter project setup sheets and maintain filing system for projects.
12. Respond to inquiries from the Owners, Controller, and Project Managers.

(SITE/ PROJECT) ACCOUNTANT

The project accountant position is accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, Analyze variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued and payments collected.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Create project accounts in the accounting system
2. Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
3. Authorize access to project accounts
4. Authorize the transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accounts
5. Review supplier invoices related to a project
6. Review timesheets for work related to a project
7. Review account totals related to project assets and expenses
8. Analyze project variances and submit variance reports to management
9. Report on project profitability to management
10. Review all project-related billings to customers
11. Analyze all project expenses not billed to customers
12. Review the write off of any project-related billings that cannot be billed to or collected from customers
13. Close out project accounts upon project completion
14. Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY :

Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
• Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines.
• Must be proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook applications, & Accounting Programs.
Background in construction accounting.

Desired Qualifications;

1. Graduated of Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Section. Year Graduated 2005 to 2008
2. Minimum 4 Years experience in contracting companies is a must.
3. Fluent in English reading, writing and speaking is a must.
4. Have good knowledge of cost cycle in contracting companies.
5. Excellent in communication skills / Having Driving License / Marital status is Single.
