Profile      The village was originally part of a deserted island on the Nile and then it became a papyrus plantation . The concept of the village now is to create an entertaining educational experience where the history and art of Egypt is demonstrated and explained. It is Egypt's historic park. It is located on an island in the Nile, just 3 miles south of the center of Cairo. In this village you are transported by floating amphitheaters, and a hundred actors and actresses demonstrate scenes from ancient Egypt (Papyrus making, sculpting, home building….etc.). In addition, the village has a complete replica of king Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures as well as 10 new museums, 4 related to ancient Egypt (mummification and medicine, pyramids building, arts and beliefs, ancient Egyptian boats) and 4 museums related to other periods in Egyptian history (Cleopatra's museum, Coptic history, Islamic civilization, Napoleon's expedition to Egypt and two museums related to our last two presidents, Nasser and Sadat ). Also the village is a wonderful place for children as it includes an interesting amusement park "Tut land" , and an "Art Center" where children can learn how to make pottery, papyrus paintings, papyrus boats and other hand crafts . Besides the visitor can make a pleasant trip on the Nile with the Yacht "Nefertari" with the capacity of 80 persons. King "Tut" restaurant enables the visitor to enjoy a delicious meal along the banks of the Nile.
