Description Quickly diagnose problems then correct or initiate a workaround or other viable solution in line with CTMS policies and procedures. Interpret incoming trouble-reports, anticipate possible solutions and develop solutions or workarounds. Must communicate changes, modifications, and workarounds to all CTMS staff. develops plans for technology and service changes and improvements. First level responsibility for maintaining the operational status of all CTMS technology supported locations. Documents and communicates both temporary and permanent changes. Advises, recommends, prices, and specs system improvements, upgrades, changes and enhancements. Assist in the development of equipment life-cycle repair and replacement schedules Participate in short and long range system planning in relation to CTMSs mission. Maintain personal training and cross-training goals. Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: • Successful completion of Bachelors degree in a related technical field. • Certification by AV technical body or willingness to obtain certification as part of employment preferred. Experience: • Advanced technical and situational diagnosis skills • Dealing with varying clients including those that may be upset • Minimum three years recent experience supporting related systems • Working knowledge of safety issues • Experience utilizing specialist installation techniques

Other Skills • Ability to perform in high stress situations. • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve system malfunctions under pressure • Working ability to understand, analyze and evaluate architectural drawings of electrical, data, telephony, signal, HVAC diagrams and tables • Ability to install and maintain integrated control systems • Ability to manage complex signal flow plans • Ability to fabricate as-needed cabling and wiring assemblies in a safe and professional manner. • Ability to work as part of a team • Operational proficiency in all equipment and services described in Principal Accountabilities • Ability to work well with other campus service departments • Computing skills as described in CTMS Staffing-Plan (Advanced) • Flexibility in working hours.
