Description Principal Accountabilities: Developing an annual communications plan for the center Branding and positioning the Gerhart Center in Egypt and the region as a reference point on civic engagement and philanthropy, including the introduction of new social media channels and communicating major events to the local media Updating and improving regularly the Centers website Working with the centers different programs on their publications including but not limited to: Brochures, Events announcements, Events Invitations Writing and Publishing quarterly the centers newsletter Update and manage the centers Facebook page and Twitter account Writing press releases in Arabic and English to promote specific events, and raise awareness around philanthropy and civic engagement. Managing and overseeing the Center publications, from manuscript to printing Supervising the work of IT/Communications Assistant Maintaining and updating the Centers contacts database Assisting with organization of public lectures, workshops, program launch events and conferences (on and off campus). Representing the center In AUCs Communications Council
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: University degree, with relevant training desirable. Experience: • 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience. • Experience in organizing training programs and in marketing and outreach.

Experience 6 - 9 Years.
Other Skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic & English (French is a plus). • Ability to achieve independently and to work in a team and thrives in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent understanding of social media, as well as the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. • Good working knowledge of office computer applications. • Ability to travel in the region and internationally.
