Job Title: Software Development Engineer II
Department/Team: Software Engineering
... Job summary: Responsible for researching and developing software using relevant programming techniques and
languages. Software include game development, web based systems, client and server side software and
desktop applications etc.
Work closely with and report to the Software Development Engineers III - IV and support them in managing
the team and work flow by supervising and coaching junior members.
Key duties and Responsibilities:- - Assist in research, design and development of software using quality coding to written technical
specifications
- Analyse and write business requirements and technical specification documents by collaborating with
other engineers, users, designers, producers and artists
- Assist in full lifecycle software development, from initial specification of requirements through to support
and maintenance
- Create and maintain architecture documents and software functionality with detailed technical logic and
functional view of the solution
- Develop, test, debug, implement test plans and script and maintain software using relevant frameworks
and methodologies
- Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure and process enhancements to
maintain and extend existing software and systems
- Produce regular weekly and monthly progress reports
Requirements:
- University/College graduate in software engineering or relevant field (Technical Expertise*)
- Minimum 5 year of relevant work experience is required
- Very Good knowledge and experience of relevant programming languages and methodologies: C/C++,
C#, or Java, OOP concept and software development lifecycle. (Technical Expertise*)
- Good knowledge of software architecture and design
- Good Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills
- Self-motivated and willing to participate in and explore many areas of software development (Self
Development*)
- Thorough and dilligent with tasks and deadlines (Effective working and Result Orientation*)
- Good people management skills (Delegation*)
- Good documentation skills is required
- Good level of written and spoken English is preferred
