Description To support British Council Exams Financial operations in Egypt and contributes to ensuring and maintaining a high level of Finance Control and Compliance to financial policies & processes. Monitor running cost expenditure (including devolved budgets) against agreed budgets; perform weekly/monthly line item checks Resolve any payment related queries with exams boards and vendors. Validate all Off-line Payments before submitting to Finance Department. Support Purchase Order (PO) creators in rectifying any pending Purchase Orders. Ensure that the finances for examining boards are updated and money remitted to them within stipulated period. Post exams refunds on SAP as per guidelines and approval of budget manager Raise Sales Orders for examinations which have been administered in line with the rates specified in the contract with the board. Ensure that invoices are raised and sent to the boards within 5 working days of the last session. Ensure the correct WBSs and GLs are used to post expenses and Income. Responsible for posting corrective journal entries where necessary Debts over 30 days are chased and up-to-date information maintained
Qualifications -3 years’ experience in a relevant role -Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent - Partly qualified with a recognized accountancy body to complete the CMA exam -Completion of 1st part of CMA. - Successful completion of Part 2 of CMA with 18 months of appointment (funded by the British Council)
