Description     — Direct the work of the office staff, delegating responsibilities and authority as appropriate, monitoring and upgrading performance and setting standards. — Develop and respond to RFPs, tenders, and requests for cooperation. — Negotiate with sponsors as required to achieve SCE objectives in regard to contracts and agreements terms and conditions, budgets, reporting and other issues. — Facilitate and support SCE administrators efforts to obtain sponsored program funds, including guiding and directing proposal development and implementation. — Review and process proposals, grants and contracts and other documentation for all divisions ensuring that standards and requirements are met and recommending signature by the Dean of SCE. — Review, negotiate and develop agreements/contracts to assure acceptability to AUC/SCE. — Coordinate activities and procedure development with other Offices of the University including OSP (the Office of Sponsored Programs) to ensure compatibility and to develop coordinated actions leading to greater overall program contribution to the School and the University. — Monitor and evaluate the actions taken during the implementation of sponsored programs which include field visits and interviews with relevant stakeholders to ensure that both University and Sponsor regulations and requirements are met, assisting in remedial actions when problems are identified. — Coordinate, monitor, assess and evaluate on-going partnerships
Qualifications    • M.A. or M.B.A. required.

Other Skills    • Prior supervisory experience required. Demonstrated experience in proposal writing and other aspects of "grantsmanship". • Extensive background in all phases of the grant/contract cycle from inception through completion. • Thorough knowledge of sponsor policies and guidelines. • Thorough understanding of proposal preparation, award negotiation, and funded program administration. • Demonstrated high level of oral and written communications skills in English. • Proven ability to work collaboratively with faculty across a wide range of subjects. • Ability to work under pressure. • Excellent computer skills and use of MS Office applications for proposal creation and setting budgets.
