Description 1. Ensures that quality instruction is being offered throughout the programs by supervising and monitoring programs and courses conducted in all SCE facilities. 2. Works with the Assistant Division Director (ADD) on planning, piloting and implementing new programs including curriculum design. 3. Assists in the preparation of the part-time faculty hiring roster. 4. Manages scheduling of classes in coordination with other designated division administrators each term. 5. Fosters professional growth by planning or providing part-time faculty with information on the latest techniques and methods through demonstrations/workshops; encourages faculty to use the video checklists for self-evaluation. 6. Creates, implements and/or maintains a wide range of schemes for faculty professional development opportunities. 7. Visits classes, evaluates teaching; improves the inter-rater reliability of teacher. 8. Conducts interviews of applicants for part-time teaching if required; assesses jointly with another administrators demonstration lessons given by new teaching applicants prior to hiring. 9. Handles student advising and processes all student petitions and cases. 10. Assists in the selection of course materials and the preparation of the annual program materials order. 11. Supervises division program staff and assists the ADD in evaluating their performance annually. 12. Prepares statistical reports. 13. Teaches in division courses as needed.
Qualifications - M.A. in TEFL / TAFL / Applied Linguistics / Translation. - Minimum 5 years experience in teaching and some experience in educational administration preferably in an adult and continuing education environment.
