Description To directly contribute to British Council Egypts 2015 strategy and to building positive perceptions of the British Council and the UK. To do this by leading on the digital and social media strategy for the country, managing the Scorecard and evaluation process for Egypt, leading on brand management including pro-active management of external suppliers and working with programmes team (Arts, Education & Society) to recognise branding and marketing needs. The role is one of three Grade G managers within the Egypt Communications Team, line managed by Director Partnerships. The Communications team supports the wider work of the directorate by ensuring appropriate internal and external communications tools are in place to promote the work of the British Council in Egypt and also specifically supports the work of the Programmes team (Arts, Education & Society). A separate Marketing & Sales Team for English & Exams exists to support the work of the English Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The post holder will need to liaise closely with this team to maximise economies of scale and synergies with the BC Egypt offer. Egypt has an ambitious digital vision in response to the Arab Spring and the new British Council Digital strategy. This requires excellent maintenance of our new, bi-lingual country websites and web applications with integrated Social Media channels that are professional, interactive and well-branded according to corporate guidelines and standards.
Qualifications •Experience of website management and support, Content management systems CMS and content production and technical support •Knowledge and experience of HTML code authoring and image editing software •Experience of Analytics packages like Webtrends and Google analytics •Experience of social media management and planning. -University degree or equivalent.
