Description Actively promote community-based learning among faculty, students and administration by scheduling weekly, monthly and semester meetings for Faculty Associates, students and community organizations. Interact and develop partnerships with other academic departments and offices to attain program goals and objectives. Facilitate the documentation and dissemination of model community-based learning experiences. The Senior Coordinator will work closely with the Center for Learning and Teaching and the Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement to foster and enhance CBL practice and pedagogy and the ethos of civic engagement across the curriculum. Work collaboratively with the coordinator of the Student Leaders for Service Program to train program assistants. Liaise with the Assistant to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies to facilitate program logistics for all financial transactions on a weekly and monthly basis. Attend administrative meetings across campus relating to youth civic engagement, volunteering and community service projects. Contribute regularly to research, reports and strategic planning in the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, in close collaboration with the Center for Learning and Teaching and the Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement. Attend professional development training relevant to community-based learning across academic disciplines.
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: Masters Degree / Advanced degree in relevant field Experience: Eight years of programming, marketing, and management experience Skills: • Excellent supervisory, organizational and training skills • Native English Speaker • Clerical/ Secretarial / Editorial • Proficient with : Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Entourage, PowerPoint Lexis-Nexis, ProQuest, JStore, EBSCOhost Publisher; Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and Acrobat
