Description Require frequent visits to local markets around 2-3 times weekly. Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions, contracts and ensures they are in accordance with relevant laws, policies and requirements. Coordinates with internal and external customers to identify needs and refine specifications. Determines method to process requisition based on cost, time constraints, existing open contracts and/or competitive bidding. Identifies and selects vendors, negotiates prices, terms and delivery methods for assigned area of procurement. Meets with sales representatives to develop new vendor sources, updates records and secures demos for departments. Works with vendors and internal customers to ensure service or equipment needs are met. Take part in writing Request for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and formal bids. Take part in related financial and accounting functions. May be responsible for preparing, overseeing and providing documents for audit purposes. Responsible for obtaining best prices for purchased goods and services
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: University degree Experience: 8 years of experience; 5 of which are in buying from local market in the back office supplies and services. Experience in corporate environment will be an asset.
