Purpose
Work with the Senior Business Development Leader based in the Cairo Office as a business analyst / advisor to support key areas of the business across the functions and geographies in development of their own strategies.
The role provides traditional Business Development Executive support, in addition to business analysis, recognising trends, providing understanding to the factors impacting current and potential business results of Visa.
Principle Responsibilities / Key Results Area
Business Development SupportBy working through the Business Development team, contribute to the development of strategic plans for designated Clients by integrating and setting priorities based on information about the markets, Client business plans, Visa priorities and competitor activities.
Monitor the development of the banking and financial services industry across the region, analyse trends and understand factors impacting current and potential business results of Visa.
Monitor and analyse competitors strategies and contribute to developing/responding to these so that Visa's market state within the relevant markets is enhanced
Contribute to development, production and implementation of initiatives outlined in Country plans
Monitor and analyse competitors strategies and contribute to developing/responding to these so that Visa's market state within the relevant markets is enhanced
Attend to Client queries and issues, and provide timely and efficient solution
Manage daily tasks such as maintaining and updating Client contact lists, mailing out relevant information to members
Ensure clients compliance to service levels, integrity of service records and efficient resolution of complaints
Identify key opportunities within market, size/provide analysis and business case to address
Central communication point for all clients in market
Provide periodical reports( weekly/monthly or quarterly ) as agreed with Country Manager
Regular market sales visits
Business AnalysisIdentification of strategic issues to be discussed by MENA Senior Management team, and provision of information to enable discussion and decision making.
Target setting; monitoring and communication of progress against targets
Monitoring progress towards achieving strategic intent
Understand and contribute to the North Africa team's overall objectives and goals.
Provide pro-active input in all areas of department activities, highlighting potential problems or resource issues.
Work closely with other department members to ensure individual objectives are aligned and highlight areas of misalignment.
Raise resource issues with department management when identified.
Support colleagues in periods of absence and when required in busy periods.
The business requires in-depth revenue and volume analysis for better and on time decision making. Analysis would include:NRY working by country by product
Analyzing and mapping revenue streams
Volume trend analysis (International vs. Domestic)
Analysis of revenue by category
Review of revenue for completeness
The role holder would also assist in detailed forecasting for revenue drivers.
Support the production of the key business drivers (e.g. volumes, transactions, etc) for use in strategic planning, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
Co-ordinate with other Visa departments in order to successfully implement the country plans. Effectively respond and follow up on queries and/or requests raised by client banks
Work closely with all business functions internally and co-ordinate appropriate meetings with clients and information management
Ad hoc project/researchComplete ad hoc project/research and presentation work and other relevant initiatives as requested by the management
Prepare and follow up on Incentive Deals/CMS and other internal similar programs
Corporate HospitalityOrganize and execute events related to corporate hospitality in the relevant markets
Manage, forecast and update event planner report
Budgeting, costing and coordination with external event management companies
General
Ensure all International departments are fully informed of actions that may affect them, support their objectives and business plans and seek to resolve conflicts which might occur
Actively contribute to the development of the team through sharing of information, coaching and support
Establish, maintain and develop good relationships with International colleagues, staff in Worldwide Services and other regions to ensure that global initiatives and best practice throughout Visa are effectively introduced across International.

This individual will be expected to interact effectively will all levels of Visa management and staff. Will work closely with Country Managers and function heads.
