Description — Managing the day-to-day Health, Safety and Environment activities of his team on the shop floor to ensure the applying the procedure and the guidelines are being followed (Permit to work, Risk assessments, Investigation and reporting of incidents and accidents, Environmental compliance) — Leading and managing the shift team and ensure meeting the required level of Discipline and grievance, Performance management, Effective communications, team-meetings and leaves management. — Monitoring the production processes to ensure meeting the schedules as necessary and the planned KPIs of efficiency and performances are met/exceeded. — Responsible for the technical performance of the float line (Achievement of objectives , Management of changes, equipment / Maintenance status, Responding to problems , Monitoring of trends and proper reporting) — Monitoring the product standards and ensure implementing the defined quality-control programs and meeting the quality objectives — Interacting among different departments e.g. the day-to-day maintenance, production planning and administration. — Coaching and development of subordinates, and technicians and implementing the skills development program to meet the business` objectives — Managing the activities aiming at reducing production costs and ensure the guidelines are being followed (Consumables, Gases, Raw material, etc. — Ensure complete compliance to prescribed IMS and 5S processes.
Qualifications • BSC Engineering (Production/Metallurgy) • Experience (3-6) years in shift supervision preferable heavy Industries • Leadership, problem solving and analytical skills • Understanding of health and safety legislation so that it can be applied in the workplace • Basic understanding of employment law so that all team members are treated fairly and respectfully within the law • Understanding of the company permit to work system and it’s application and importance • Understanding of key people policies e.g. discipline and grievance, absence management, skills development
