Description To assist in the preparation Country Strategy with the Country Director Develop and present proposals Coordination of IRs participation at national and/or international networks Responsible for development of effective contingency plan, emergency manual, response planning and team building Initiate projects, once approval has been given by IRHQ & Donors head office. Plan, Design and prepositioning of materials, management of strategic ware house facilities, communication equipments, vehicles etc and linking with other agencies, forums, consortiums, UN bodies, and Government to prepare a collective buffer stock. Supervise and present weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly progress reports on emergency activities in Egypt. Responsible for the implementation, monitoring and supervision of all Emergency projects. Co-ordinate the efforts for fund raising from local and foreign donors, IR partners and other funding institutions. Be responsible for the creation and management of a team of staffs and supervision of their general welfare. Preparation of timely reports and technical advices by liaison with Head of Programs. Be responsible for insuring project staff grievances and disciplinary matters are fairly dealt with in accordance with IR policy and Code of Conduct. Any other duties assigned by the Management.
Qualifications •Masters degree in Development Studies/MSS/ relevant field. •5-7 years experience of working in INGO/NNGOs in the field of Emergency Projects •A proven record of effective management. •Successful experience in managing grants and budgets in large emergency operations. •Substantial experience in staff management and proven abilities to lead and develop a diverse, multidisciplinary and multicultural team. •Strong and well developed analytical skills coupled with experience of writing reports that are usable by different stakeholders. •Sound knowledge and commitment to participatory approaches to working with communities. •Familiarity with the Hugo framework, Sphere Standards, Red-Cross & Red-crescent Code of Conduct.
