Description Fostering innovation, identifying potential opportunities and challenges for implementation of new operations; reorient livelihood activities. Ensure that on-going Program strategies and methodologies are implemented in close collaboration with beneficiaries, local partners and International NGOs, local governments and other development players. Work closely with Program staffs to develop in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual work plans, effective and efficient use of livelihood and food security budgets. Plan, implement and promote agricultural and non-agricultural income-generation and community activities. and budgets. Ensure that project development and implementation comply with donor regulations and requirements. In close collaboration with supervisor and in compliance with donor data collection requirements, Take lead responsibility for ensuring that monitoring and evaluation systems are efficient, effective and responsive Livelihoods & food security technical lead for donor documents and internal/external reports, proposal development. Produce reports and documents as required. Directly manage Food Security/ Livelihood Field Staffs and Consultants/others as required. Improve and maintain overall team cohesion and foster team-building. Improve beneficiary capacities through in-field trainings and workshops. To carry out any other duty assigned by IR authority as and when required.
Qualifications • Master’s degree in Development studies, Social Science, Livestock, Agriculture or relevant fields. • At least (5) years demonstrable experience in areas of food security, livelihoods or income generation program with a focus on rural development and agriculture. • Experience in provision of technical support to food security and sustainable livelihoods - Experience in the integration of gender into programs. • Proven experience in program development, team management, and ability to work in a multicultural environment, communicating readily and sharing learning. • Strong understanding and experience in rural development, economic development or related field.
