Description Prepare payroll reports. As well as Adhoc reports as required —Prepare monthly general journal entries —Create Benefit Rate budget and perform quarterly benefit reconciliations —Departmental budgets and forecasting —Answer queries, investigate issues and comply with other department requests as they arise —Assist in Audits as required —Backup for Payroll Accountant as required. Create, review, reconcile and post Payroll journal entries and Payroll accruals —Responsible for full-cycle accounting, cash flow reporting and analysis, fixed assets. —Prepare and maintenance of investment schedules, insurance administration, budgeting and variance analysis. —Prepare the analysis of results, as well as, providing clear and concise results to non-accountants. —Preparation of financial statements —Provide assistance to external auditors during completion of reviews and audits —Preparation of various internal reports, including bank reconciliations, cash reports, etc. —Full-cycle accounts payable. —Maintenance of the general ledger.
Qualifications - Having a blend of Financial Accounting and General Management experience. The requirements for this role include: - related experience in a complex, small to mid-size organization. - Full-cycle accounting, cash flow, budgeting and variance analysis. - Advanced MS Excel, MS Word. Hands-on experience with an ERP, ideally Navision, will be an asset. - Demonstrated team attitude and ability; and, a proven track record of managing multiple and competing priorities. - Comfortable communicating with and understanding various external stakeholders such as bankers, insurance providers, property tax consultants and investment brokers, etc. - (preferable) Accounting Designation (CA, CGA, CMA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
