Description Drafts press releases and editorials to promote the University facilities, programmes, events, key personnel, etc. in both English and Arabic and coordinates publication in line with the Universitys advertising plan, under supervision of the Head Communications and PR Identifies and promotes ,amongst university staff and students ,need for stories of interest to the media and potential media opportunities under the supervision of communication and PR Head Regularly updates and develops the media contact lists and maintains regular contact with the British Embassy and British Council Assists in the organization of press events to publicize important news Handles newspaper and magazine clippings on a daily basis Oversees the production of collateral and handles routine collateral matters with Marketing Drafts and distributes mass mailings Coordinates contact with internal sections and external agencies, in order to obtain competitive offers and monitoring purchasing, invoicing and payment arrangements as required. Keeps a store inventory of giveaways and print materials. Assists in other communications and public relations duties as needed Makes hotel bookings and travel arrangements as required. Maintains an accurate and accessible filing system
Qualifications -BA in Mass Communication, preferably with a Degree / Specialism in Journalism
