Description Economist for a consulting position in a donor funded project in Cairo, Egypt. The consultant will be required to provide a certain number of man days over a duration of 6 months ” 1 year. The consultant will be required to undertake socio-economic and household surveys and provide analysis of the results.
Qualifications • University degree in Economics with at least 5 years of working experience • Strong understanding of economic and financial analysis methods • Able to develop financial models and projections using concepts such as NPV, ROC and WACC in addition to others • Familiar with financial accounts for utilities and an understanding of regulatory accounting principles and practices • Familiar with price formulation methods and different research techniques • Has an understanding of socio economic principles such as affordability, willingness to pay, social costs and benefit analysis is a plus • Working knowledge of statistical analysis (econometrics) tools and Microsoft Excel • Perfect command of spoken and written English and Arabic
