Description Accountant for a consulting position in a donor funded project in Cairo, Egypt. The consultant will be required to provide a certain number of man days over a duration of 6 months ” 1 year. The consultant will be required to undertake audits and examine the different accounting information in addition to developing relevant financial models and projections. Previous work experience with utilities is desired.
Qualifications • University degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of working experience • Familiar with the Egyptian government’s accounting procedures • Familiar with Egyptian national accounting regulations and commercial accounting systems • Familiar with financial accounts for utilities • Able to undertake audits and examination of accounting information • Capable of developing financial models / projections • Familiar with financial accounts for utilities (water supply and waste water services in particular) • Understanding of regulatory accounting principles and practices • Familiar with price formulation methods • Familiar with financial analysis principles such as return on capital, net present value, internal rate of return, etc • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel • Perfect command of spoken and written English and Arabic
