Profile      United Food Industries is a subsidiary of El-Marghany Group of companies. The group is established since 1964 starting its business in the metals field, such as iron and aluminum. In 1985, a new business in Import & Export was established. It mainly imports grains and sugar to overcome the Egyptian market shortage in these products. Having acquired the experience and reputation, the business family established its own mill in 1995. It is now one of the lead market players in 72% flour market in Egypt. With a vision for an integrated business, Al-Marghany Group established its FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) business in 2003, known as UFI; Unified Food Industries. UFI started its business producing Pasta. Its primary macaroni brand was introduced to the Egyptian market in October of the same year, known as Bianco. Bainco was followed in 2005 onward by other pasta brands like Romeo, La Bella, Bahia and several other brands, all well appreciated by consumers in the Egyptian market as well as in several other countries. Bianco continues to be UFI's pride and prime pasta brand. In June 2010, UFI established its Concentrates manufacturing facilities with another UFI pride known as the Rosso tomato paste. In no time, Rosso has become one of the leading products in the Egyptian market as well as other overseas markets in the region as well as Gulf, Africa and some parts of Europe. One of its most appreciated brand products is the easy open can Rosso which comes in different sizes. Other private labeled tomato paste products are La Braire, La Chaine and La Kwam. The company started also producing Shahya, a juice product introduced mainly to the Egyptian market. UFI manufacturing facilities and its company headquarters are in a compound located in Badr City, with a total area of 25,000 square meters. The facility is equipped with advanced technology, including world class machinery and quality control lab, to sustain the company's pride in the top quality and hygienic manufacturing processes for all of its products throughout the production process. The company continues to grow its business with plans to expand its manufacturing facilities in 2012. 2011 has witnessed the start of the company's business excellence model, implementing SAP so as to integrate and foster the development of the business processes. We also started revamping our organization structure and business model in 2011 accommodating development of functional roles, synergies and job roles identifying need for additional competence in the organization. This development focuses on the development of the company's staff offering them professional growth as well as inviting competence from the market.
