Description     The Local Administration Reform Unit seeks a qualified candidate to join the team of the Local Development Observatory as a Research and Policy Analyst, who will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research on the LDO fields of interest and operation. He/she will be reporting to the LDO Executive Director and will work effectively with LDO staff members. He/she will also be a staff member of LARU and may be assigned to support the work of its other units as needed and according to his/her expertise. He/she will analyze data and generate reports to help the LDO to achieve its strategic goals. He/she will be expected to remain current on best practices in the fields of prospect research at LDO.
Qualifications    •A Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related fields. (Post-graduate studies in these fields are an asset); •A minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience (after the 1st graduate degree) in related fields to the work of LDO such as decentralization, local administration reform, local governance, local service delivery and improvement, etc.; •Strong research and analytical skills and ability to work independently on research design and implementation; •Demonstrated proficient technical writing skills; •Proficient use of computer operating systems and MS office software package; •Excellent command of English and Arabic Languages (written and spoken), in addition, candidates with knowledge of a third language will be given preference. •Excellent organizational and coordination skills. •Deadline oriented and punctuality in meeting deliverable deadlines;
