Area Technical Sales Engineer (A.T.S.E.)
Responsibilities:
• Using technical selling skills your and in conjunction with the Export Regional Manager and senior engineer, to formulate and implement an annual sales plan.
• To conduct customer visits on a regular basis to create product demand through technical sell approach.
• Responsible for ensuring maximum level of customer satisfaction.
• To cooperate, support, motivate and communicate with the appointed local distributor including conducting appropriate technical training of their engineers as required.
• To develop a thorough knowledge of the local market in order that effective sales activities can be identified and implemented.
• Assist the Regional Manager to produce yearly Forward Business plan.
• Generate written monthly & quarterly reports in English covering all elements of responsibilities and any other such reports and /or presentations that may be required by Export Regional Manager.
• Keep records and to report on all sales activities, market developments and trends.
• Maintains positive working relationships with all customers and understands their business needs and goals.
• Visit company plants to provide technical advice to help improve their company plant and process efficiency.
• Visit consultants and contractors projects and to contribute to the design and specifications of the system.
• Maintains competitor product and marketing information, i.e. product ranges, price comparisons, product performance etc.
• Carry out company system surveys and make recommendations for improvements as appropriate.
• Visit consultants and contractors involved in company projects and to contribute to the design and specifications of the company system.
• Provide technical support to customers for all products and services.
• Provide customers with accurate quotations and to follow these up regularly.
• Review and research product problems and customer complaints using information from policies, procedures and best practices in liason with Regional Manager and the Export Department in England.
• Determine best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Overnight travel may be required from time to time.
• To plan sales activities carefully and to provide weekly customer visit plan to Regional Manager.
• To prepare reports on customer visits.
• Maintain an accurate records of expenses and submit a monthly claim in the required format.
• Project tracking, from conception to completion.
Sales Area
• Mansoura and surrounding regions. The candidate must be prepared to travel to other areas upon request to support the Regional Manager to carry out surveys, seminars and exhibitions
Education
• Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Marine).
Experience (Would be advantageous but not essential)
• Gained from working within a process plant, fluid control, plant utilities or project engineering type environment.
• A background in the following :
a) Steam and fluid control.
b) Pressure systems and piping.
c) Oil & petrol chemical, pharmaceutical or process industries.
d) Process instrumentation.
• Fresh graduates will also be considered.
