Position Title: Electrical Supervisor
Position Purpose: To Plan, organize & carry out installation, maintenance & repair of electrical, and control equipment installed in all areas of the site. To lead the Electrical team in providing the electrical, and control services necessary for operations of all areas of the refinery, minimizing any loss of production due to equipment failure
Principle account-abilities :
1- Plans and allocates the work for his team of Electrical Technicians consistent with priorities laid down by the Electrical Engineering Manager, Electrical Engineer & Production Shift Manager
2- Carries out assigned activities consistent with obtaining optimum performance of all electrical, control systems
3- Demonstrates efficient methods of maintenance & proper use of tools to Electrical & Technicians under his control
4- Monitors the performance of his team and initiates corrective action where performance is unsatisfactory e.g. discipline
5- When required, works on repair, installation and maintenance activities of electrical equipment and systems in a conscientious manner to a high standard of craftsmanship.
6- Maintains concise and accurate written and records of work undertaken, ensuring comprehensive information is passed on to the incoming Electrical Supervisor.
7- Maintains records and control of all equipment, tools and consumable items under his control, including the maintenance of plant inventories
8- Generates Purchase Orders for equipment / materials & compares the specifications of purchased items with requirements
9- Plans and organize training for his team to ensure they are able to carry out the full range of tasks required to specified levels of competence
10- Ensures that preventative maintenance activities are carried out & procedures are followed. Liaises with Electrical Engineer and Senior Electrical Manager for maintenance planning, work tracking and reporting
11- Completes an end of shift report & carries out an effective communication & handover exchange with the incoming Supervisor in the work area
12- Works safely at all times. Observes all quality & housekeeping policies. Keeps own work area clean & hygienic

? A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred OR
? Educated to Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
? Educated to Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Must have a strong foundation in electrical and modern systems
? Must have completed basic and advanced courses in electrical theory, installation, repair and maintenance work.
? Must have completed basic and advanced courses in electrical installation, repair and maintenance work.
? Must have experience of working with fault finding; drive systems (variable), PLC basic fault diagnostics.
? Must have experience of working with fault finding measurement and control systems, basic fault diagnostics in wiring systems.
? Must be able to carry out starter, and interlock logic fault diagnostics and repairs with a broad knowledge of power plant maintenance.
? Up to date with state of the art electrical and micro-processor based control systems, with knowledge of plant compressed air systems .
• 3 - 5 years post qualification experience in electrical and maintenance work with-in the food processing industry with a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• English Level 2, equivalent “Intermediate” in TOEIC Test
• Communications & Working Reports to the Electrical Department Manager. Responsible for the Electrical foremen & team. Liaises with Mechanical Engineering, Utilities & Production
Framework, boundaries & decision making responsibility: Significant decision making. Allocating team & resources, leading Preventative Maintenance activities
