Inbound Manager - jumia


Jumia Egypt is seeking the following candidate:

Position: Inbound Manager (3-5 Yrs Exp)
Department: Operations

Key responsibilities:

Managerial
• Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
• Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and order management systems
• Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements
• Developing new supply strategies
• Allocating and managing capacity/resources (staff and financial) according to changing needs
• Provide both technical and management expertise necessary to facilitate growth of managed inbound volume to achieve company goals.

Sourcing
• Ensuring prompt sourcing of goods from local as well as foreign suppliers
• Ensuring adherence to defined SLA by suppliers
• Monitoring of supplier performance and enforcement of sanctions
• Oversee the claims process of damaged goods, shortages and overages.

Foreign Shipments
• Monitor and address carrier performance and/or untimely delivery and pick up issues.
• Interact, coordinate, and plan with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Finance departments on the stocking, local/foreign sourcing and pick up of goods
• Review and process payment of carrier invoices promptly and accurately

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (preferably in a related field)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to manage people in a diverse team
- Analytical
