At least 5 years of Windows Administration experience.
Job Description:
This position is for a Windows Administrator with deep expertise on Hyper-V, XenDesktop and XenApp virtualization environments.
Virtualization Administrator will provide specialized knowledge to build, configure, manage and monitor Virtualization environments in BSF.
Troubleshooting and resolution of Virtualization related problems will be primary responsibilities of this engineer in coordination with other IT entities/vendors. The engineer will plan and monitor systems capacity and performance. The virtualization environments are fast moving and has high expectations for quality of work and turnaround times.
Required Skills:
Solid understanding of Citrix /Hyper-V 2008 R2 Sp1 and Hyper-V 2012.
Microsoft Cluster Services.
HW configuration including NIC teaming.
Understanding of Load balancers concepts.
Understanding of Storage systems concepts including replication.
Project Backgroud:
BSF has three Virtualization environments:
1. Server Consolidation: Hyper-V 2008 R2 SP1, 4 clusters in multi-tenancy
configuration (Production/DR). 100+ VMs 2. VDI: XenDesktop 6.5, hosted in Hyper-v, with multiple clients
configurations. 100+ VDI
3. Application Virtualization: XenApp 6.5, highly available configuration
hosted in Hyper-V, behind GTM/LTM. This environment is integrated with
VDI and hosting mission-critical applications.
The systems are on Dell/Cisco UCS servers, attached to HDS/EMC SAN storages.
