The Embassy of Finland in Cairo is looking for a Project Coordinator to manage the Local Cooperation Fund development projects of the Embassy.
Main duties and tasks:
Overall planning and administration of the Local Cooperation Fund in Egypt and Sudan in cooperation with the Development Counsellor.
Management, monitoring and evaluating of the Local Cooperation Fund projects of the Embassy of Finland in Cairo and reporting thereof.
Coordination with other donors/cooperating partners in the respective fields of responsibility.
Other duties assigned by the Ambassador or the Counsellors.
Key competencies, knowledge, skills and abilities:
A university degree in a relevant discipline.
In-depth knowledge of project management.
In-depth knowledge of civil society in Egypt. Knowledge of civil society in Sudan is considered an asset.
Minimum three years of experience of working in a related field.
Excellent written and spoken English
Fluent written and spoken Arabic
Strong drafting and communication skills
Good administrative and organisational skills.
Integrity, reliability and the ability to furnish information and advice with detachment and objectivity
Knowledge of the current International concepts, principles, techniques, and practices related to monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
Ability to travel in Egypt and Sudan on duty.

Note:
Employment contract will be made according to the Egyptian labour law and it will be fixed-term until 31.1.2016. The salary will be paid in Egyptian Pounds. The successful candidate must have the right to work in Egypt in order to apply.
