OFFICER TRANSLATION, ARABIC AND TRANSLATION STUDIES DIVISION, SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION
Position: Officer Translation,Arabic and Translation Studies Division, School of Continuing Education
Report to: Director, Arabic and Translation Studies Division
Purpose: The job holder is responsible for providing technical support for the translation instructors, as well as developing and implementing sales activities for translation courses and certificates offered by the Arabic and Translation Studies division. Working is on flexible and extended hours.
Principal Accountabilities:
Prepares the implementation of all translation offerings
Builds relationships and increases the visibility of the division through social media tools and events
Assists in developing new translation programs
Coordinates the selection and preparation process of course materials
Assists in the preparation of the part-time faculty hiring roster
Creates and conducts proposal presentations and division orientation sessions
Assists the director in forecasting enrollment trends when preparing the divisional annual budget
Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
Performs any other additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in English
Experience: Seven years experience, with at least five years in the area of education administration, translation and instructional events
Skills:
Must be a strong communicator, personable and extremely organized
Excellent use of Microsoft applications and social media
Excellent command of English and Arabic
Excellent translation skills
