Description 1- Draft preliminary sketches and prepare layout and detailed drawings. 2- Select standard items to incorporate into tool design. 3- Design single- or multiple-edged machine cutting tools, drills, and related jigs and fixtures. 4- Study and assess specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and data 5- Confer with engineering, quality, sales and marketing department personnel to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, manufacturing procedures, and cost. 6- Utilize resources in accordance with blueprints, production and action plans from technical department. 7- Modify tool designs according to trial or production service data to improve tool performance and/or quality. 8- Oversees the manufacturing of tools to ensure specifications and quality are met in a resource and time efficient manner. 9- Make purchase recommendations as per purchase plan and work requirements, in liaison with purchase department.
Qualifications 1- engineering university . 2- Highly competent in relevant design software, eg; autocad 3d / solid work 3- Fully committed to quality implementation 4- Innovator with a clear understanding of resource utilization and constraints. 5- Ability to ‘think outside the box’ and make recommendations for improvement 6- Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
