Description - Manage IT&S services and support to BP Hassi office (BPXA) in Algeria - Manage local IT&S service delivery team (1 helpdesk staff in each rotation at present) in BPXA and operate within approved functional and operational standards. Ensure all IT&S related activities are comply with BP policies and standards - Manage suppliers / contractors locally within the framework and in compliance with local procurement / legal constraints. Ensure all support contracts are in place and current. - Manage the service delivery to achieve continuous improvement in both cost and quality performance in line with business imperatives - Conduct IT&S Operational health check on a frequent basis and closing any identified gaps - Promote/coach best practices, process and standards within the team - Provide necessary help on meeting any new IT& business demands - Represent IT&S on Business management meetings which is scheduled on a daily basis
Qualifications - The candidate requires a proven track record in the area of IT service management under ITIL (or similar) framework - Strong operational skills, bias for action, and a good understanding of IT technologies - Competent at managing performance and leading engagement with business users on service improvement / development - Good written and verbal communication skills in English - Ability to engage senior business representatives in an effective manner, including understanding the business aspect of service delivery issues - Ability to network effectively and build collaborative relationships across with regional IT&S teams - Good awareness on ITIL service management framework - Strong telecommunications background would be an advantage
