Description , Environmental Health and Safety Office Ensures environmental health and safety inspections of job sites, tools and equipments,. Supervise the EHS procedures allover campus or at the different AUC premises. Follow up EHS violations. Support team in ensuring implementation of the training plan for newly hires & all levels of personnel on EHS matters, with a specific attention to particularly hazardous tasks. Participate in the investigation of all incidents (accidents and near-misses). Compiles reports based on inspections, observations and investigations. Provides advice to the EHS inspectors on actions in case of dangerous actions and/or situations & reports immediately to the EHS manager. Along with EHS Supervisors, take part in acting as a constant advisor on the field for any problems related to EHS for all personnel. Support team in preparation measures prior to any activity or event to ensure applying all EHS measures. Participate on the toolbox meeting held by the contractors and sub-contractors and support them during this activity. Oversee and participate in conducting Mock drills on a periodic basis and follow-up on completion of observers findings. Ensure that the fire detection, fire alarm, fire fighting and environmental health and safety equipments are regularly inspected and maintained. Observe and enforce environmental health and safety standards, rules and regulations in the work area. Ensures maintaining OHS&E records.
Qualifications Minimum education requirement: B.Sc. in engineering or science Experience: Minimum two years of experience in related fields.
