Description Senior Technician John DG Field Gouna Station This position requires knowledge of local marine life (preferably, the Red Sea), including identification and collecting marine samples using sampling tools and data loggers. The job holder will be responsible for maintaining and operating all scientific instruments found in the marine lab including but not limited to Microscopes, autoclave, incubator, freeze-dryer and spectrophotometer. He should have a technical experience in lab setup, reagent preparation and different experimental molecular and marine techniques. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and able to work within a team as well as with some independence, and will have good communication skills. He will be responsible for recommending equipment, highlighting their advantages over other and establishing and maintaining links with vendors of equipment, supplies and technical services.
Qualifications Education: •B.Sc. in Biology (preferably marine biology) or related field Experience: •Minimum of Two years experience in the same field
