Description The responsibilities of the Process Engineer can be detailed as follows: 1.Establishing and maintaining organizations set of standard processes. 2.Establishing and maintaining descriptions of lifecycle models approved for use. 3.Establish and maintaining tailoring criteria and guidelines for the organizations set of standard processes. 4.Establishing and maintaining the organizations measurement repository. 5.Establishing and maintaining the organizations process asset library (PAL). 6.Establishing and maintaining the different IT development work environment standards. 7.Establishing and maintaining the organizational rules and guidelines for the structure, formation, and operation. 8.Establishing and maintaining the description of process needs and objectives for the organization and development work environments. 9.Appraising the organizations processes periodically and as needed to maintain an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. 10.Identifying improvements to the organizations processes and process assets. 11.Establishing and maintaining process action plans to address improvements to the organizations processes and process assets.
Qualifications A person acting as process engineer must be a good facilitator and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the IT domains (applications, security, quality, infrastructure, services, and architecture) is essential for those acting in this role. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or equivalent experience At least 3-6 years IT process improvement Industry certificate in IT or design in an advantage
